Digital Channels Backlash Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display a different size category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification. Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. They have suggested members to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Updates Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Experiences Frankie Bridger, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she explained. Necessary Adjustments Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
